Home, and its meanings.

The spicy smell of masala lingers in the air, reminding you of all the meals you ate here, of all the things you learned. The nights you stayed around the dinner table, sipping on chai, talking about everything and anything.

Everything I learned from my parents stemmed from these conversations around the dinner table. Everything I have to learn from my parents will probably be taught to me in the same way.

I'm not sure exactly how to label the feeling I get while thinking back on these times.
I can see them perfectly though.

Dadi sitting on the far left end of the sofa, with Puna Bhua next to her.
And Anil Uncle on the right.
My parents on the love seat.
Gaurav, Gautam, and I scattered on the various chairs that dot the room.

This is how I define comfort. If I am comfortable with a situation, I can liken it to these moments, my earliest moments of ease.

Warning!

It's quite easy to lose yourself in hopelessness when you have to be positive for everyone else.
But then again, its quite easy to lose yourself to hopelessness in the first place.

Just remember: Once you fall, its a long, hard climb back to the surface.
